Road‑Ready Demonstration Project: Remote Canister Welding

INL is conducting a Road Ready Demonstration Project to package Department of Energy (DOE)-managed used nuclear fuel into DOE Standard Canisters. A remote weld‑closure system is being developed and tested to be used on the closure weld which increases precision and minimizes operator exposure.
